[UH-PROMES] We need applicants for the NACME Scholarship

We are seeking applicants for the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME) scholarship.  This program is open to Native American, Hispanic and African-American students per the eligibility requirements set out by NACME. Successful candidates must be PROMES students with at least a 2.8 cumulative University of Houston GPA, and must have financial need as assessed by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. NACME Scholars must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents.  Once selected, a student remains on the scholarship until graduation and as long as eligibility requirements are maintained.  Students may receive up to $2,400 per year through this program.

If you feel that you meet the qualifications for this scholarship program, please submit a General PROMES Scholarship application (available for download at http://www.egr.uh.edu/promes/pubs/GeneralPROMESScholarshipApplication2012.pdf) along with your resume and an unofficial transcript to the PROMES office in E316 Engineering Bldg #2 no later than Friday, October 26.
