[CCoE Notice] Power Outage - update

Dear Engineering Community,


A temporary backup emergency generator has now been placed by facilities outside Engineering Building 2. The generator has been connected and as of this morning was tested and is fully functioning to enable emergency lighting and elevator service within the building in the event of an outage. We continue to work with facilities to replace the existing backup generator in Engineering 2 that is experiencing problems as a long term solution. We appreciate everyone's understanding and cooperation.

This is a follow up to Steve's email last week:

"

As you are aware, we recently had a couple of power outages.  During those power outages, the generator for Engineering Bldg 2 did not kick on like it was supposed to.  The UH Electric Shop will be conducting some tests on that generator this Monday, June 17 from 6:30am – 7am.  While they are conducting these tests there will be some blips in the power to Engineering Bldg 2.  Please plan accordingly.
