John,

Please have interested candidates apply to INROADS on-line at www.inroads.org<http://www.inroads.org> and contact me at rdunlap at inroads.org<mailto:rdunlap at inroads.org> or even better call me at (678) 521-9079 so I know who's applying and committed to applying to INROADS this week. If they are not then they don't stand a chance to be considered by Shell this year. We have four internships left to fill. I will give them the Shell Careers website link to apply after they contact me.

They need to make sure their resumes are on INROADS letterhead and show they are an INROADS Candidate.

Thanks
Robert

Hello and I hope this finds you well!

I'm resending this information and clarifying how the interview process is handled at Shell Oil. Once again you have been identified as potential matches for an internship with Shell Oil for Summer 2015. Shell Oil is one of the world's top companies and is a leader in the energy and petrochemical industries. They are pioneers in their fields and are one of the top companies to work for in the world. Shell is also a valued corporate partner with the INROADS Organization and has a long history of placing interns in demanding and exciting roles and a stellar track record of converting their interns into full time employees.

What does Shell Look for in an intern? It is summarized in the C.A.R. process, which is how they assess a student's ability to do well at Shell.

A. Capacity

Real Intellectual, analytical, and creative ability to learn quickly, identify issues, absorb information, make judgments and propose solutions.

B. Achievement

Enthusiasm, resilience, and confidence...Are you someone who can always get things done?

C. Relationship Skills

They want rounded individuals with both sensitivity and influencing skills. Are you able to work well with others in a diverse team?

D. Additional Requirements

· 3.2 Cumulative GPA

· Full time student

· Authorization to work in US on Full Time basis without sponsorship

The Shell process is an intense and multi step process as they want to ensure that they have the brightest candidates working for them. To be clear, I encourage you to take each step of the process very seriously and prepare as a misstep along the way could cause you to miss out on a great opportunity. I encourage you to begin the Shell process as soon as possible as they are currently setting up interviews.

The way it will work this year for Shell is as follows:

Step I - Verify Interest and resume submission

· Please respond back to this email if you are interested in pursuing this opportunity and that your resume is in the approved INROADS format (see attached template) and please note that you are an INROADS candidate. Please submit your resume in WORD format.

Step 2 - Online Application

· Once I have verification from you that you are interested in applying for the position, I will send you the application link

· After you receive the link, you will need to complete the online application and also upload your updated INROADS resume and transcript.

Step 3 - Online Assessment

· After you complete the application and upload your resume and transcript you will receive instructions from Shell on how to take the online assessment

· You must pass the online assessment in order to be CONSIDERED for an interview (PLEASE NOTE THAT PASSING THE ASSESSMENT DOESN'T GUARANTEE AN INTERVIEW). Shell determines who receives an interview. It is IMPERATIVE that you take this part of the process very seriously and make sure you can take the assessment in an environment that is conducive to focus and concentration. You will need to be free of distractions and interruptions. If you do not pass the assessment, you will not be able to interview with Shell again for a full calendar year.

There are two parts to the Online Assessment

§ Part I is a series of competency based questions that take approximately 30 minutes to complete. If you are successful on Part I, you will be asked to move on to Part II

§ Part II is where you will be assessed on your decision making and problem solving capabilities. This exercise takes about 45 minutes to complete and is timed.

If you are unsuccessful in completing the assessment, please let me know as well so I can track that information on my database

Step 4 - Interview

· Once you have received confirmation from Shell that you have successfully completed Step 3, please contact me and let me know that you have done so. At that time, I will send your name and resume to Shell as an INROADS candidate and they will continue with the interview process, which will either be face to face or over the telephone. It is important that you contact me first so that I can submit your name as an INROADS candidate. I will not hear from Shell on the status of the interview process thus it is important that you keep me in the loop with your communications.

I'm confident that all of you will do very well and hopefully we will be able to get you placed with an internship for next summer. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Regards,

Robert
