First off, I would like to thank you all for being such an amazing, helpful and hardworking group of volunteers and mentors. Without you all, Science Extravaganza would not have been so successful. It was my pleasure working with you all yesterday. I do apologize if I seemed short or blunt with any of you. There was a lot going on and my phone was going off the entire day!

Mentors,

You all were amazing! The tours looked great and from what I saw of some of the workshops, the kids looked like they were enjoying themselves. Thank you for dedicating your entire day to this event and thank you for being such a positive impact on these kids.

Volunteers,

A special thanks to everyone who came from UH-Downtown. You all did so well for your first time on the main campus and were able to respond to our (my) needs without hesitation. And to the people who jumped in and replaced the mentors, great job. You all hit the ground running! Volunteers throughout the day, you all were amazing for being able to help me and run back and forth with me. I know my requests weren't always simple, but you all pulled through without any complaints.

I apologize if I was not able to see you all leave; moreover, I hope you all enjoyed the event. You should take pride in the impact you had towards these students.

P.S. I know some of you were asking about our upcoming MAES meeting so below is all the info you will need. And if you didn't receive a shirt for volunteering, I can give you one at the meeting.

NEXT MAES MEETING: Wednesday, October 30th in W122. Guest Speakers from BP and Chevron Phillips. Time: 7:00 PM. FREE FOOD as always.
