[UH-PROMES] Reserve your seat! 35th Annual PROMES Awards Banquet

PROMES Community,

We are pleased to invite you to attend the 35th Annual PROMES Awards Banquet which will be held at Brady's Landing Restaurant, 8505 Cypress Street Houston, TX 77012 on Thursday, February 28 from 6:30-8:45 PM.    This year we have only 200 seats available for students, so they will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.   Your seat will not be reserved until you have paid your $20 refundable deposit (see below).  We will have faculty and corporate representatives present, and we will recognize students who have had outstanding academic and leadership success.  Students from NSBE, MAES, SHPE, SWE, EWB, SASE, and PAC will be assisting at this event.

Honored Guests will include:

Dr. Bonnie Dunbar, retired Space Shuttle Astronaut and newly appointed director of the UH STEM Outreach Center
Dr. Gerhard Paskusz, founder of the PROMES program
If you plan to attend, you need to do 2 things as soon as possible:

*         Complete the RSVP form at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/BANQ2013

*         Bring a $20 cash or check to the main PROMES office (E316 Engineering Bldg 2) to hold your seat.  Until we receive your money, we won't confirm your admission.  (You will get your deposit back after the banquet, provided you attend.  If you reserve a seat but do not attend, we keep the deposit.) The last day to reserve your seat is Friday, February 22.

We do not anticipate having enough seating to accommodate family and friends.  If we don't fill all the seats by next week, then we may have room for guests.  If you want to put that someone special on a waiting list, you can do that in the PROMES office.  See Ms. Torres.
