[UH-PROMES] SECME / GCTAME Outreach Event this Saturday - we need volunteers!

This Saturday, Feb. 9, we have our biggest PROMES engineering outreach event of the semester, serving 200-300 middle school and high school students.  We need a lot of volunteers to do this event properly, so please consider joining us for the event at Pershing Middle School.  A map is attached.

The events include the Annual SECME Mousetrap Car competition, and also the Regional 2013 Gulf Coast TAME Math and Science Competition.  Students competing at these events are hoping to be selected for state and national competitions that will follow.  We need your help to serve as judges and as test proctors.

We will have training for the various volunteer tasks on Wednesday (TOMORROW - FEB 6) at 1 PM or 5 PM in N376 or the PROMES study lounge.  Please attend one of the trainings if possible.  This is a complex competition and everyone must be trained correctly for us to do this well. I have attached the Mousetrap Competition rules for those who will be helping with that judging.
