Abstract

As the penetration of renewable energy sources increases, traditional power grids face significant challenges, including the need for greater transmission and energy storage capacity. This presentation will explore the cutting-edge integration of hydrogen-based infrastructure within renewable power systems to address these issues. It will cover strategic operation, planning and restoration of the electrical grids integrated with hydrogen storage and transportation. Key topics will include the development of security-constrained unit commitment (SCUC) for hybrid grids, the scheduling for seasonal hydrogen storage, the planning and expansion of hybrid energy transmission networks, and the restoration of grids integrated with fuel cells. This presentation provides a comprehensive framework for integrating hydrogen into future renewable-dominated grids, showcasing advancements in strategies specifically tailored for the cooperation of electrical and hydrogen facilities.
