[CCoE Notice] Reminder, hands-on rehearsals for Zoom available this week

Dear colleagues,

Just a reminder again that all through this week, we have set aside specific time and place if you wanted to come by and practice launching your first online Zoom session. The details are as follows:

  1.  The times are 10 AM-Noon, and 1-3 PM, each day through Friday this week. The location is Room E-220 in Engineering Building 2.

This is on a walk-in basis (no appointment needed).

  2.  Room E-220 has a podium desktop computer, so you can use that to simulate doing Zoom from your desktop at home. If you plan to use a laptop or iPad or tablet from home, please bring that with you for this rehearsal.

  3.  It will help if you were to bring with you somebody else (a TA or a fellow faculty or a departmental online advocate) who can simulate playing a student on the receiving end by sitting in the adjacent room, i.e.,  E-218 during your rehearsal.

  4.  This should take only about 10 to 15 minutes per faculty experiment.

And finally, as sent out yesterday, please keep hand the attached document that lists support options as we move forward with the online delivery of our courses.
