[CCoE Notice] Emails From Dean Tedesco

Stern, Eric EJStern at Central.UH.EDU
Tue Apr 14 17:20:43 CDT 2020

Good Evening,

Today many have seen messages that look to be coming from the Dean of Engineering. This is a phishing attempt aiming towards a user responding, in which the recipient will asked to purchase some form of goods or send money. Please do not respond to these messages and please permanently delete them.

Official emails from the Dean will only be sent from the University of Houston Exchange Mail Server. No other mail service will be used to send out official messages from the Dean.

If by chance one has responded to the messages received today, please stop all further responses and contact Engineering IT.

As always, please delete or forward to abuse at uh.edu<mailto:abuse at uh.edu> to report any additional suspicious emails that might show up in your inboxes.

Thanks,

Eric
