CPRIT 2020 Innovations Conference VI Canceled

Due to circumstances beyond our control, CPRIT has made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming Innovations in Cancer Prevention and Research Conference VI scheduled for July 30 – 31, 2020.

Texas continues to operate under state and local orders that prohibit gatherings and restrict travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With no indication that authorities will lift these orders soon, this uncertainty makes it impossible for conference speakers and attendees to schedule travel, book accommodations, or submit scholarly content for the conference.

The Fairmont Austin hotel will cancel all active reservations within the CPRIT conference group block on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at noon. Any guests who would like to keep their reservation should call the Fairmont Austin to reinstate it at 1-888-240-7773 (U.S.) or 1-800-441-1414 (International).

Like the cancellation of many other regional, national and international gatherings, the cancellation of our July conference is due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently we are unable to predict when the conference will be rescheduled; however, we remain hopeful that CPRIT will reschedule the conference in the future.
