[CCoE Notice] NSF I-Corps Winter Workshop Opportunity

Are you interested in learning how to commercialize your research? The I-Corps Winter Workshop is an opportunity for faculty and students to learn more about how to market their research using the ‘Lean Launch’ and ‘customer discovery’ methodologies.


There is a stipend available (up to $500) for students or faculty who successfully complete the workshop. This workshop will also qualify certain teams to move forward with the I-Corps program, including Regional and National experiences which will allow them to receive grants up to $50,000.

Who can participate: Any UH faculty member or student who is working on launching a tech startup, and wants to validate their start-up idea and who is interested in doing customer discovery.

What is required: The first workshop will take place on Friday, December 7 from 10am – 3pm. Participants will be expected to attend the entire session. Then, participants will be required to complete 15 customer interviews and develop a presentation on the deliverables in the weeks following the workshop. In the second workshop, participants will attend a closing session on Friday, January 11 at 1pm to discuss their learnings.
