[CCoE Notice] Currently Accepting Capstone Design Project Proposals for ECE 4335

Dear Faculty,
The Department of Electrical and Computer is currently accepting project proposals for the spring 2018 and fall 2018 semesters of ECE 4335 Capstone Design. This course assigns teams of four students to a year-long electrical or computer engineering related project. The project idea must provide a natural division of labor for 3-4 students each working approximately 10 hours per week. Work on proprietary projects can be accommodated with the completion of university non-disclosure agreements. If you are interested in sponsoring a project, please fill in the project information below and return to Len Trombetta (ltrombetta at uh.edu<mailto:ltrombetta at uh.edu>). If you have any questions concerning the course, you may also contact Len Trombetta for more information. As always, thank you for supporting the success of our undergraduate students.
Student Commitment:
* work ~10 hrs. per week on the project
* report progress to faculty sponsor every 1-2 weeks
* complete, to the best of their ability, all requested deliverables to the faculty sponsor by the end of each long semester
* provide a final report each semester to the faculty sponsor
Faculty Sponsor Commitment:
* complete the project information form provided below
* purchase parts needed to complete project
* be available to advise student teams for approximately 2 hours per week
* students will most likely not seek out advice every week, but we ask that you agree to be available if they require guidance
* attend project presentations (as schedule permits)
* presentations occur 4 times per semester and are approximately 15 minutes in length
* attend end-of-year course conference/luncheon (as schedule permits)
