-----------------------------------------------

Dear Engineering Faculty and Staff,

Yesterday was a historic day for the University of Houston as we publicly launched the $1 billion capital campaign that will fuel, build and transform the University as we know it. We, as members of the Cullen College of Engineering, will play a vital role in achieving campaign priorities and shaping our University’s future.

The Cullen College of Engineering set an ambitious goal of raising $140 million of the $1 billion goal for the campaign. I’m proud to share that as of today, we have secured a total of $83,310,571 to support the college’s campaign priorities. These priorities focus on student success, faculty support, new and improved facilities and enhancing our research capabilities.

As we launch the public phase of the campaign, I challenge each of you to look for ways in which you can support the college. Please reach out to me or any of the development professionals in the college with questions on how you can be a part of this historic campaign. I am also pleased to announce that Randall Sitton has accepted our request to serve as the chair of the Cullen College Faculty/Staff campaign as part of the Here, We Go campaign for the University. Randall will be working closely with the development team to serve as the faculty/staff liaison once this portion of the campaign launches later this spring.

We are going places the Cullen College of Engineering has never been before. Here, We Go!

Sincerely,

Joseph W. Tedesco Ph.D., P.E., F. ASCE
