[CCoE Notice] FW: MULTIPLE BUILDINGS ACROSS CAMPUS -- PLANNED ELECTRICAL OUTAGE NOTIFICATION (8 FEB & 11 FEB 2017)

Please see the attached electrical outage notification. SERC will be affected on 2/11/17 and the outage will be for 2-3 seconds while the transfer switch activates.  This is a separate outage notification from the one affecting Engineering 1 and 2 on 1/29/17.

Equipment on backup power should restart automatically, please have someone check that equipment is running normally.  Turn off computers and any other equipment that will not reboot or start up when power is restored.

PLANNED ELECTRIC OUTAGE NOTIFICATION - MULTIPLE BUILDINGS ACROSS CAMPUS

OUTAGE IMPACT: Brief interruptions to electrical services for approximately 50% of central campus. There will be two (2) separate interruptions.

1.   Wednesday, February 8 at 5:00am
2.   Saturday, February 11 at 5:00am

The interruptions will have durations from a few seconds up to 5 minutes. Please see the building impact list on the attached outage notification for specific buildings that will be impacted and estimated duration outage times.

Please make all necessary arrangements to protect interdepartmental equipment (computing, research, office, etc.). After the outage, facilities technicians will verify that the main building systems are operational - operation of interdepartmental equipment will need to be verified by the building occupants and users.
