[CCoE Notice] 2015 UH Out of the Darkness Campus Walk

Thank you for your support of our past Out of the Darkness Walks at the University of Houston.  You have helped us to raise over $40,000 in total donations since 2010, and $25,000 of that was just from last year!  Our UH Walk is growing and the best news is that 100% of the proceeds for these Campus Walks support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a leader in the fight against suicide.  Our donations fund research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.

The 6th Annual Out of the Darkness Walk will be on March 7.  It will once again be based in the Lynn Eusan Park on University Drive on the campus of the University of Houston.  Parking is free in Lots 20A and 20C across from the Campus Wellness and Recreation Center.  The campus map is online at University of Houston: Campus Map<http://www.uh.edu/maps/>.

Check-in for the Walk will open at 8 AM at the park.  There will be snacks and drinks available, and music will be provided by HTM Productions.  The Walk Program will begin at 9 AM, followed by our 2.5 mile walk around the campus.  A closing ceremony will follow the walk.  We will end by noon.

If you are walking in memory of a lost loved one, feel free to bring a photo of any size to post on our memory boards.  We also have an area to create 2" round ornaments to hang on our memory wall, so if you want to put a photo on one of those, bring a small photo, too.
