Subject: Environmental Health & Life Safety Hazardous Waste Amnesty Days

All,

I've attached a flyer concerning Environmental Health & Life Safety's hazardous waste amnesty day for FY15. It's a time for everyone to take a look in their labs and facilities and get rid of anything hazardous that they aren't using any more. Often this task is neglected until the last minute when an inspection or incident happens. We've started amnesty days to allow people a very low-hassle way to get rid of small and large quantities of hazardous materials, unknown chemicals, expired, off-spec, or disused commercial chemical products, and just about anything else that is regulated in its disposal. The only things we won't take are radioactive materials (we can arrange for proper pick up at a later date) or controlled substances (we aren't registered to possess them.) Anything else is fair game, and if we cannot accommodate a request, we'll schedule a time when we can for later on. Please send this on as you feel is appropriate so that it can be fully utilized by any interested parties, and feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thanks,
