Subject: Natural Gas Leak at Engineering D1

All,
Yesterday morning, a utility locator was utilized to locate the natural gas lines paralleling the South side of Engineering Building 579. Those markings will be used by Centerpoint Gas repair crews to help locate buried isolation valves on the East side of Engineering. Once they have found the two valves in question, they will be able to isolate the 2" gas line on the West and East branches of the this line.

Engineering is the only building affected, and only the natural gas to the building is affected. All other utilities are fully operational.

Centerpoint has been called to survey the gas line route, locate the buried valves and perform underground gasline repairs once the Engineering building is isolated. Hopefully, none of the driveway at Engineering will need to be torn up.

Thank you for your patience.
