Faculty Development Workshop Series

"Clicker Basics and Beyond: An Intro for the New User and Exploration of the Compete Features for the Advanced User"
and
One-on-one sessions to review the features in the context of your own curriculum work and implementation efforts

This workshop will provide a quick introduction to the Turning Technologies software for the beginning clicker user and a more advanced discussion on utilizing clickers in the context of a flipped class or for in-class games for more advanced users.  Topics include:

*        Adding polling slides to existing PowerPoints

*        Polling over top of any application (PDF, Word, Prezi, etc.)

*        "On the fly" polling

*         Integration with Blackboard for easy grade/attendance tracking

*         Use of the "Compete" feature to set up in-class competitions.  The software allows instant team assignments based on your creatively designed question and a score board feature so students can track their team's progress through your review session or activity.
