We've completed Week 1 of the SECC campaign.  A total of 21 contributions were turned in the first week, for a total of $7,278... a big THANK YOU goes to those who have given so far.  For everyone else, please come on board our Engineering express and help us finish strong.  Our Cullen College goal is $25,000, and we can't make it without YOU!!  Please contact your Department Coordinator listed below and tell her you're on board.  She'll then bring a pledge form to you.

Please help. Our October 31 deadline is not too far away.

Hello Engineering Faculty and Staff,



The State Employee Charitable Campaign is currently underway, and we want our Cullen College to again be #1 on campus as the TOP College/Division for donations raised.  First, I want to THANK YOU FOR YOUR PAST EFFORTS.  We were #1 in 2011 ($20,144; 42 participants)!  We increased our $$ and participants and were #1 in 2012 ($24,963; 59 participants)!!  No division on campus comes close to our level of generosity and participation.  So, our wonderful Engineering Faculty and Staff, are you ready for a 3-peat?!!!



The Campaign runs from now until October 31 (officially, but if you miss this deadline, we'll still take your donation).  Our  GREAT group of Department Coordinators are listed below - remember, they VOLUNTEERED for the SECC to make it easier for you to turn in your donation. Your Coordinator will be contacting you soon - when she does, please smile :) and say "Yes, I'll participate!!"   She'll then give you a pledge form to complete.  ...  And for any procrastinators (like me), your Coordinator will remind you again, and again, and again, ....



The Coordinators have a contest to see who (1) raises the most funds; (2) has the highest number of participants; (3) has the highest percentage of participants within her respective group. I've added a bonus award this year for the Coordinator who has the highest percentage increase in participants over last year (... yes, I actually keep the records).  You can help your Coordinator win a prize by turning in your pledge form.



Most of all, participating in the SECC benefits many worthy organizations throughout our Houston region in their efforts to support the less fortunate.   They count on the SECC campaign for so much of their daily functions. Please join us in their effort.  Please help.
