Dear Dr. Claydon,

The Division of Research and the Texas Learning & Computation Center
invites you to attend an open meeting to express your wishes for research
support in the area of high performance computing (HPC), visualization, and
computationally driven data-intensive science at the University of Houston.
Please distribute this invitation to department chairs whose faculty might
be affected by decisions ensuing from this important infrastructure
planning endeavor so that they may attend as well. The center is closely
evaluating its current assets and planning to extend its HPC resources and
related services, and we would like your input to help ensure that our
efforts closely match faculty research support needs in this area.



Please join us on Monday, September 17 from 2:00-4:00 pm in Philip Guthrie
Hoffmann Hall (PGH) 216. You may stop in at any point during the meeting if
other commitments conflict with segments of this two-hour time frame.



If you cannot attend this meeting and would like to provide input, please
feel free to communicate your wishes to Information Systems Manager Tony
Curtis at arcurtis at mail.uh.edu.
