To: All Cullen College employees

It is once again tax time, and many of you will be downloading your W-2
forms, and even preparing and submitting your income tax returns online.

You should be aware that all of these activities can leave copies of your
personal financial information, including you Social Security Number, your
full name and address, and possibly other sensitive information on the
computer(s) you use. The existence of such information on a workplace
computer can make you vulnerable to identity theft.

You are strongly encouraged to take special care to check for and remove
any such data that may be on your workplace computer(s), using the
Identity Finder software. I have addressed the faculty and staff of most
departments in the College on how to use this software; if you do not have
this software on your computer, or if you have questions regarding its
use, please contact either me or Kiet Luong. The University has directed
that this software be installed on all UH computers for which it is
available (currently, Windows and Mac OS X), but it is up to each of you
to scan your computers periodically to check your own data.

Please let us know if you need assistance.

Be safe.
