[CCoE Notice] Lync phone training for Engineering

Good afternoon once more,

There will be another training held in the ECC room W129A-D3 this Friday (August 17th) at 10 AM.  All staff and faculty who haven't attended any Lync phone training are encouraged to attend.  These training sessions are crucial in gaining familiarity with the Lync phones, and allow exploration of all useful functionality the Lync phone and software offer (including conferencing functionality).

Attached is the Lync software and phone reference that are handed out as you attend the training sessions.

I will make more possible future training announcements if the trainer will be available to us.

Good afternoon,

For those of you who wants to get an overview of the Lync phone software, the following links below will provide general "how-to" videos that will be helpful if you want to reinforce your knowledge after having attended the training sessions.  For those who will not make any of the training sessions this week, the "how-to" videos will provide a great starting point.  However, the training sessions are very specific to UH Lync phones, therefore, I still recommend everyone to try to make it to one of the training sessions.
UIT has not recorded any training sessions yet, but plan to do so in the near future.  Fortunately, the training for the Lync phones will continue to be offered by UIT for the near foreseeable future.

God afternoon,

UIT offers Lync phone training today at 1PM, and next week.  Please attend these training at least once to get a handle on how to use the new Lync phones.  If the Lync phone at your desk is already activated and is in service, you will need to attend this training sooner than later.

"today's 1pm class in Tech Commons.  There are definitely open seats in the class.

We have set aside Monday of this coming week for training Engineering.  There will be a 9am class and a 1pm class in Studio 2, room 11D in Tech Commons.  There are 16 seats in each class.  If necessary, we can add a 9am class on Tuesday."
