[CCoE Notice] Network reconfiguration in Engineering Building 2 and EERC

Good afternoon,

In preparation for the new phone system deployment in the Engineering buildings, the network technicians will have to make changes to the network switches in the buildings where the new phones will be deployed.  The network technicians will start their work around 5:30PM today and possibly the next few days until they are finished with the affected areas.  This may cause temporary network interruptions in the two Engineering buildings,  so please plan your work accordingly.
Additionally, the ECC staff will be installing the Microsoft Lync software on most Engineering computers that may be used in conjunction with the new phones.  The installations will be scheduled for after business hours, therefore, we ask that you log off (not shutdown) of your computers when you leave for the day so we can log on to install the software.  The installation may take place in the next few days.  If you see the Microsoft Lync software appear on your desktop before the phones are installed, simply close the application and continue your work.
