[CCoE Notice] Update on Materials Engineering Program

Cullen College Faculty/Staff,

 

In an effort to bring more prominence to our materials engineering
program-one of the major research thrust areas for the college-we are taking
a new direction in leadership and marketing for this important
interdisciplinary graduate program. Dr. Dmitri Litvinov, one of our leading
materials engineering researchers, has been appointed the new director of
the program. I would like to thank Dr. Ken White in mechanical engineering
for his dedicated service to this program over the last few years.

 

Dr. Litvinov is a John and Rebecca Moores Professor of Electrical and
Computer Engineering and holds a joint appointment in Chemical and
Biomolecular Engineering. He is the director of our Nano Engineering Minor
program and our Nanofabrication Facility. We are very excited for Dr.
Litvinov's vision for this program and his enthusiasm for taking on this
very important role. The Materials Engineering Program website has been
moved to http://www.egr.uh.edu/materials and work on a new site will
commence in the coming weeks.
