[CCoE Notice] UH Closing Update

The University of Houston has canceled classes for today and Saturday (Feb. 5) because of inclement weather. Only essential services will be provided through the weekend. Only essential UH staff should report to work Friday afternoon. Please contact your supervisor if you have questions.

Staff scheduled to work Saturday and Sunday should contact their supervisors today to discuss their availability to report for their scheduled weekend shifts. Food service will be provided for residential students. The library and Campus Wellness and Recreation Center will be open this weekend.

The safety of our students, faculty and staff is very important, and we hope you and your family are safe and well. If you must travel to or from campus, please use caution. Tune in to news reports and be aware of road closures and dangerous conditions. We urge you to make a personal decision, in consultation with your supervisor, about whether it is safe for you to travel to campus.

The UH campus will be informed of updates through the PIER communication system, and regular updates will be posted on the UH web site and KUHF radio.
