Dear Colleague,
Preparing and submitting well-prepared research grant applications has
become more important than ever, especially in these times of tighter
budgets and with a limitation of two submissions for each proposal.
Preparing a clear proposal and avoiding common errors is critical. When
ideas are not clearly presented in your proposal, reviewers typically
either need more clarification or lose enthusiasm for the ideas
presented, even if the ideas are valid and important.
On September 16th, I’m teaming up with the Principal Investigators
Association to present a webinar about the Significance, Innovation, and
Approach sections of your NIH grant proposal
<http://www.mmsend7.com/link.cfm?r=614854371&sid=10594615&m=1095280&u=PRININVEST&s=http://www.on2url.com/app/adtrack.asp?MerchantID=163022&AdID=513466>.
These sections are the foundation of your application and need to be
approached with a unified strategy.
During this webinar, I will discuss how to strike the appropriate
balance between detail and general plans for experiments. The language
you use and the data you choose to include are important in convincing
reviewers that you are competent to do the work proposed. We will cover
some of the simple mistakes that can make a reviewer lose confidence in
the plan you propose. Avoiding some of the common errors will allow
reviewers to concentrate on the value of your ideas and your plans, and
to better judge the quality of the science in your proposal.
I’d be pleased if you could join me for this webinar on September 16th.
You’ll have a chance to ask me some direct questions and I’ll be able to
clearly explain why you must seamlessly link the Significance,
Innovation, and Approach sections of your NIH grant proposal.
The webinar is called “NIH Grant Proposals: Making the Pieces Work
Together

and is on September 16th at 3:00 pm EDT.
You can get more information and register
