[CCoE Notice] Engineering servers offline due to a network switch failure

To:  All Engineering Faculty and Staff

This morning, some time before 7 a.m., one of the network switches that
supports many of Engineering Computing's servers failed.  The problem has
been identified, and a replacement switch is now being configured.  If
everything proceeds as planned with no further problems, the repairs and
subsequent restarting of the servers and restoration of normal services
will take between one and two hours.

In the event that we encounter any unanticipated delays, I will provide
you with updated information.

I deeply regret the inconvenience and bad timing of this outage.
