[Program for Mastery in Engineering Studies]

Dear PROMES Students,
Please see the Bechtel scholarship announcement below sent to us by NACME. Note that this scholarship is for female students in engineering who are not currently a NACME scholar.


ELIGIBLE STUDENTS - African American, American Indian and Latino women

- United States Citizen or United States Permanent Resident

- Enrolled in ABET accredited engineering program

- Demonstrate financial need

- Rising Junior or Senior



AWARD: $10,000 one-time payment to be used towards the cost of education, e.g. tuition, room, books, or any other school related expenses.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA. The scholar must be enrolled in school full-time and remain in good academic standing.

Dear NACME Partner:

NACME was awarded a grant from the Bechtel Foundation to provide additional scholarship support for students at our partner institutions.  This grant is geared towards women and successful applicants will receive a one-time $10,000 scholarship award for the academic year 2017-2018.

Attached is a copy of the application which includes the guidelines.  Eligible students should be pursuing an engineering degree including computer science.

 Please distribute to your female student population who are non-NACME scholars and encourage them to apply for this scholarship.

Please note that this is a new scholarship that is separate and apart from the block grant program.  Please also note that students cannot be in more than one scholarship program at the same time at NACME.
