Happy Cougar Red Friday everyone!

EWB UH is having multiple volunteer opportunities and we would love for
members to get involved and share an afternoon of fun with officers and
other fellow members.

Below is the list of our upcoming volunteering events. Please fill out the
form attached to each one that you are planning to attend.

1) March 10th, IEEE Chili-cook-off (help with set up, serving, and
clean-up). It is a friendly competition between different UH organizations
and it will take place outside of Engineering Building1. We also welcome
recipe suggestions from our members. If you have any suggestions you can
email them to ewbuhpresident at gmail.com

EWB Chili-Cook-off
We are participating in the IEEE cookoff this year! As you know, we value
active membership and we will need all the help we can get. There will be 3
shifts to choose from: Set-up, serving, and clean-up.

Program
and help kids and their families.  Through the Backpack Buddy program,
children on free or reduced-priced school lunches receive around 200 cans
per year. Can openers will help feed them each week.*

*Important tips and reminders for your upcoming volunteer shift:*

Every adult in your group must register in our system before volunteering. The
number of minors attending needs to be scheduled, but they do not need to

*MINOR VOLUNTEER Requirements*

   - *Portwall Warehouse:  *Volunteers 6-15 years of age must be
   accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older at all times while
   volunteering, with a group ratio of 1 adult per 10 youth.
   - *Keegan Kitchen:  *Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and
   accompanied by a parent or guardianwith a group ratio of 1 adult per 10
   youth..
   - *MINOR WAIVER FORMS:  *All volunteers under the age of 18 also need to
   have a completed Youth Volunteer Consent Form signed by their parent or
   guardian.  A copy of this form can be downloaded by clicking the RESOURCES
   tab on your Volunteer Profile page.

*How to DRESS? *

   - *Portwall Warehouse**:*  Closed-toe shoes (*NO* sandals or flip
   flops), long shorts or pants, t-shirt or shirt with sleeves.
   - *Keegan Kitchen:*   Closed-toe shoes (*NO* sandals or flip flops),
   long pants (*Mandatory*: *NO* *shorts*), t-shirt or shirt with sleeves,
   absolutely *NO* jewelry.

*For your safety, personal belongings are not allowed in project areas:  *Due
to limited locker space, we ask that you lock your purse, jackets,
backpacks and any other valuables in your vehicle before checking-in.

*Special needs? Just let us know:  *If you require any special
accommodations just let us know before your volunteer shift so we can plan
accordingly.

Houston Tool Bank is a nonprofit tool lending program. We will help repair
tools that will be available to different volunteers and  organizations to
use.
