Hi everyone,
It's that time of year again. Football is in the air and thousands upon thousands of freshmen are descending upon our campus. That means lots and lots of ENGI 1100 sections. Although we started the summer thinking we would have around 200 or so students in our ENGI 1100 classes, we now have almost 500. And that means that we will need many more TAs in those classes than we originally thought. So if you have ever wanted to be a TA for PROMES, now is your big chance! We have 2 openings for our TT 2:30 classes. But we have 8 openings for our MW 2:30 sections. We are seeking students with good programming skills that can learn the Arduino platform (looks a lot like MATLAB, so good C or MATLAB skills will do). We pay $1500 after the middle of the semester in the form of a scholarship, and that's for 10 hours of work per week. If you are interested, send me an e-mail with your reasons for wanting to be a TA, which PROMES courses you have taken, and a screenshot of your schedule. I will contact you shortly if you are assigned to a section. Work begins on Monday.

Have a great semester!

Sincerely,
Diana de la Rosa-Pohl
