[UH-PROMES] A few reminders

1.        February 7 is the last day for student organizations to complete their outreach activity to compete for the Engineering Alumni Association's e-week competition.  See attached email for details.

2.       The last day to submit your creative 3-minute video to compete for the PROMES Innovation Scholarship (funded by PROMES Alumnus Nwamaka Nzeocha) is January 31.  All you need is an idea to demonstrate that you are an outside-the-box thinker!  Read all about this opportunity at http://www.egr.uh.edu/news/201312/promes-alumna-gives-back-scholarship.

3.       Mark your calendars for the Annual PROMES Awards Banquet which will be held at Brady's Landing Restaurant on Thursday evening, February 27.  Students who have been on the Dean's Honor List during the 2013 calendar year (Spring 2013 or Fall 2013) will be honored at this event.  Scholarships will be awarded to deserving PROMES scholars and leaders.  Make sure that you have a current PROMES Scholarship application on file with us for this 2013-2014 academic year in order to be considered for one of our $500 scholarships (http://promes.egr.uh.edu/sites/promes.egr.uh.edu/files/files/GeneralPROMESScholarshipApplication2012.pdf).
