Hey PROMES,
If you are taking junior or senior classes in the fall and you are working 20 hours or more to keep your head above water and stay in college, PLEASE investigate the Brookshire scholarship.  You have a week to pull together your application (due date is April 15), but it is worth $10K to you for next year.  I urge you to read about this opportunity.  There are not enough applicants for this award, and money is being left on the table.  The requirements are specific, so make sure you meet the criteria before applying.  Dr. Brookshire wants to help hard-working students to finish school with minimal debt.

The deadlines for the William A. Brookshire Scholarship and William A. Brookshire IMPACT Scholarship Endowment have been extended to April 15, 2014. Brookshire Scholarships are awarded at an annual amount of $10,000 to $12,000. Applications should be mailed directly to the University of Houston Foundation and NOT to the UH Cullen College of Engineering.
