Subject: College Recruiting Events

I am reaching out to you to ask if you or someone in your student organization is willing to help out with a couple of recruiting events sponsored by the Dean's Office. The Dean's Office is inviting admitted students to campus on April 12th from 2-6 and on April 26th from 10-2 in an effort to increase enrollment of already admitted students. We will have different labs and activities showcased to help encourage them to decide that UH is the place for them. We would also like to have a student panel discussion that focuses on student related topics.

After the event on April 12th we plan on giving the guests an opportunity to attend a UH baseball game and we would also like for our students to attend as well. The game starts at 6:30 and we would provide tickets for guests and students. After the event on April 26th we plan on renting out the UC game room for an afternoon of bowling and we appreciate our student's attendance at this as well.

We would be asking our students to help out with the events of the day and to get a panel of about 6 to 8 student for the panel discussion. We would also provide a meal and an opportunity for our students to attend the social events after the recruiting event. This recruiting event is considered a high priority by the Dean, and I'm sure he would greatly appreciate any effort our students could make towards making this event successful. If you have any questions please feel free to respond to me or Demetria Harris. Thank you.
