[UH-PROMES] S-STEM Scholarship opportunity - deadline August 20

If you meet the requirements below, I encourage you to apply for the S-STEM Scholarship for 2013-2014 as soon as possible.  The scholarship amount will be $5,000 for the academic year ($2500 in fall and $2500 in spring).

The application deadline is August 20!
Completed application must be accompanied by a current transcript and a resume.  More instructions are included in the attached document.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

*         Transfer students or First Time in College (FTIC) students who have attained at least sophomore status in their major.

*         US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holders)

*         Cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 with sustained record of Academic Good Standing

*         Proof of financial need per the UH Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid
A limited number of scholarships will be awarded. Selections will be made by the PROMES scholarship committee no later than the end of August.
