[UH-PROMES] Apply now for positions as Engineering Workshop facilitators, assistant facilitators, and PROMES TAs for spring semester

The application process is now open to identify workshop facilitators, assistant facilitators and PROMES TAs for spring.  Information and the application can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Workshop_TA_App and this link will be available through November only.  Applications are due by November 30, 2012.

The online survey monkey form contains details and requirements for these positions.
NOTE:  Students who apply as workshop facilitators for a particular course should have earned an A or A- for that course.  Assistant facilitators should have earned at least a B in the course.

Currently we are hoping to offer workshops for the following courses, assuming sufficient interest and available funding:

ECE 2300: Circuit Analysis
ECE 2317: Applied Electricity and Magnetism
ECE 3336:  Introduction to Circuits
CHEE 3321: Analytical Methods for Chemical Engineers
CHEE 2331: Chemical Processes
CHEE 2332: Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics I
CHEE 3363: Fluid Mechanics for Chemical Engineer
CHEE 3369: Chemical Engineering Transport Processes
MECE 2334: Thermodynamics I
MECE 2336: Mechanics I
MECE 3336: Mechanics II
PETR 2311: Reservoir Petrophysics

The pay structure for these positions is as follows:
$2,000/semester - Engineering Workshop facilitators
$1500/semester - Engineering Workshop assistant facilitators and PROMES TAs

Funding for these positions will either be provided through the Houston Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation program or paid through the university payroll system.

All eligible applicants should apply for funding through the Houston Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation at http://hlsamp.uh.edu/apply.  Check your eligibility at that web site to see if you can apply.

Completed applications will be reviewed as soon as they are received.  A completed application consists of a completed online application (survey monkey form) plus a current resume and unofficial transcript delivered to the PROMES office by November 30, 2012.  Promising candidates will be interviewed to assess eligibility and fit for these positions.
