<span style="font-size:18.0pt; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">This talk will give a brief overview of the new research program at UH on the effective use of various artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and data analytics (DA) methods for different
exploration and production problems. Several topics such as big data, soft computing, natural language processing, man-machine interface and deep learning will be highlighted. Several examples of recent applications AI-ML-DA in different oil and gas related
problems will be shown. Future opportunities for even more extensive use of AI-ML-DA in the E&P problems will be explored and the significant role of the new AIM-DEEP consortium will be highlighted. We will demonstrate the value proposition of AIM-DEEP based
on its multi-disciplinary nature and its focus on the academic and industry alliance, complemented by government funding.<span class="x_xapple-converted-space"> </span><i> </i></span></p>

Reservoir Monitoring, CO<sub>2</sub> Sequestration, Reserves Evaluation and Microseismic. He served as the president of Society of Exploration Geophysicists (2007-2008) and represented SEG at the Unconventional Resources Technology Advisory Committee (URTAC)
and the SPE Reserves Evaluation Committee (SPPE). He is Fellow of IEEE, a Member of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, and Honorary member of Azerbaijan Oil Academy. He received Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) Honorary Membership in 2018 and Society
of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Western Region Reservoir Characterization and Formation Evaluation Awards in 2014 and 2015.</span></p>
