<b>will require a General Petition (GP) and a brief statement as to why a late add is warranted.</b></span><br>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><b><u><span style="color:black">Department advisors can no longer add students to
<span style="background:lime">undergraduate</span> classes</span></u><span style="color:black">.</span></b><span style="color:black"> </span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="color:black"> </span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"><b><span style="color:black">THESE REQUESTS</span></b><span style="color:black"> will require a General Petition. This petition
<b>MUST</b> be <b>SIGNED</b> by the <b>INSTRUCTOR</b> of the course, indicating in the comments section of the GP, whether or not the student has been attending classes, and that the instructor approves the addition. General petitions without verification
of class attendance, will not be accepted.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">The General Petition must also include course information
<b>(course, course number & section number)</b>. If this information is not on the General Petition, the petition will not be processed.</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="color:black"> </span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">The General Petition must then be approved by the Director of Undergraduate Programs. General Petitions can be turned in at the front desk of the Engineering Undergraduate Programs Suite E316. Generally, it
is expected that such additions will be for missing required lab courses or changes of section which are appropriate for the interests of the department and college.

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">As a general rule, additions of students who are not already enrolled in college courses will not be approved. Undergraduate students should get enrolled in their courses during the first week of classes, and
should attend all classes during the first week. </span></p>
