<span style="background:yellow">DO NOT HAVE ANY “NR” Grades for ANY STUDENTS for FALL 2018!!</span>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Cambria","serif"">Having an NR listing impacts academic standing, student financial aid and graduation certification.

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><b><i><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Cambria","serif""> </span></i></b></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Cambria","serif"">If you are unsure of the grade to assign, here are a few helpful suggestions:</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-indent:.5in"><span style="font-family:"Cambria","serif"">If the course is a Senior Honors Thesis or Master’s Thesis the student should receive a grade if the work is complete.
</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-indent:.5in"><span style="font-family:"Cambria","serif"">If the work is not yet complete, the grade issued should be “IP” (in progress).
</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-indent:.5in"><span style="font-family:"Cambria","serif""> </span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-indent:.5in"><span style="font-family:"Cambria","serif"">If the course is a PhD dissertation, the student should receive a grade if the work is complete.</span></p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-indent:.5in"><span style="font-family:"Cambria","serif"">If the work is not yet complete, the grade issued should be “IP” (in progress).</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="text-indent:.5in"><span style="font-family:"Cambria","serif"">If the student stopped attending your course but didn’t drop it, you should assign a grade of “F” if that is the grade that they “earned.”

<p class="x_MsoNormal" style="margin-left:.5in"><span style="font-family:"Cambria","serif"">If you and the student have entered into an Incomplete Grade Agreement, the grade issued, should be “I” (incomplete) until the student has completed the work. The Incomplete
Grade Agreement form is filed with the department. Once the work is completed<span style="color:#1F497D">,</span> you can enter the earned grade via the online grade change workflow through your faculty center. The grade change must be submitted within one
academic year or the grade of “I” will be converted<span style="color:#1F497D"> </span>
automatically to a grade of “F”.</span></p>
