Following the University's official closing on Monday, April 18 and Tuesday, April 19 due to flooding across the Houston area, I would like to provide options for covering class material missed on those days. Although the University of Houston campus has reopened,
many of our students, faculty, and staff remain impacted by the flood's widespread damage and continuing mobility issues calling for a thoughtful and flexible approach. </p><p style="FONT-FAMILY: Calibri; COLOR: #000000; FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-WEIGHT: normal" align="justify">
We also find ourselves very close to the end of the semester with available days for make-up classes very limited. With that in mind, make-up classes are not required and instructors may opt to meet on May 3 or another day mutually agreed upon with students
while accommodating potential conflicts. Those who wish to meet should contact their college scheduler to secure a classroom. Schedulers can be found on the
