Many of the students use the Career Fair as a step towards getting a job, on which they appropriately place a high priority. Some may even choose to miss a class, despite the
clear risk this involves. I cannot directly condone that value judgment. However, I can ask that you consider whether you might be willing to change the date of a quiz or other similar assessments to another day other than February 11<sup>th</sup>, if that
does not significantly affect your course and its effectiveness. <u></u></p><p style="font-size:12.8px">It should be clear that all choices are up to you. For myself, on the days of previous career fairs, I have postponed a quiz in my own course, but lectured during the full period. You should do what you think is appropriate for
your course.
