All experiments and operations need to be shut down and/or stopped, and the sash closed. If for some reason, the equipment does not start back up properly, the consequences could be serious. If the equipment is not on emergency backup from a generator, it would be a good idea to turn it off and turn it back on after power is restored. Someone should be available from your department to verify that the equipment is operating normally. Facilities people expect to be stretched thin afterwards.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:#1F497D'>Please take note of the importance of proper shut down and start up. Please be sure that all equipment and machinery, including fume hoods, lab equipment, computers, etc. are properly shut down before leaving this weekend.
