I would like to thank him for his exemplary service and leadership.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'> <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'>I have formed a search committee that has broad representation from all the departments and will recommend, from within our college, candidates for the new Associate Dean of Research and Facilities. The Associate Dean will : (1) represent the Cullen College of Engineering interests at the UH Division of Research, State of Texas</span><span style='color:#1F497D'>,</span><span style='color:black'> and the Federal Government; (2) facilitate and catalyze formation of competitive research teams within the college to secure large state and federal grants; (3) interpret University policies pertaining to research, and ensure compliance of the requisite regulations; (4) lead efforts to procure, maintain and administer research facilities; (5) advise the college on broad national and international research agendas; and (6) foster research initiatives with industry.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.5pt;color:black'>The search committee consists of Pradeep Sharma (Chair), Michael Harold, Kaspar Willam, Elebeoba May, May Feng, and Stuart Long.
