Example of a Broader Impact Statement.....<br><br><br><br><br><br><span style="font-size:14.0pt">The University of Houston (UH) is the
leading public research university in Houston and one of the top
research universities in the State of Texas. In 2011, UH was designated
a Tier One Research University by the Carnegie Foundation. UH’s
student body of more than 39,800 students is one of the most diverse in
the U.S., including international students (8.5%), multiracial students
(2.2%), students of unknown ethnicity (0.7%), African Americans (12.1%),
Asian Americans (19.3%), Hawaiian/Pacific Islanders (0.3%), Native
Americans (0.3%), Caucasians (33.1%), and Hispanics (23.5%). In 2012,
