Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), the Air Force’s basic
and applied research arm, has announced a conference to celebrate its 60th
anniversary on October 12 in Arlington, VA. The conference, “A Force
of Discovery: 60 Years of Air Force Basic Research,” will bring together
Air Force and DOD science and technology (S&T) leadership along
with the industry and academic communities to outline future steps AFOSR
and DOD will take to address critical basic research challenges
affecting the Air Force. This event will be a great opportunity for the
academic community to engage with DOD S&T leaders and staff to
build relationships and provide input on future AFOSR research
objectives. </p><p class="MsoNormal"> </p><p class="MsoNormal">AFOSR
has not announced the official agenda yet. Registration is not
