Commonly used for applications such as access control and theft prevention, the knowledge base for RFID is substantial and the cost of applying it has dropped. These factors have lead to the increased use of RFID technology within the Oil and Gas business. In this presentation, I will start by giving a brief introduction to Weatherford International. From there, I will discuss the practical uses for RFID technology within the oil and gas business. Then, I will share some examples of cutting-edge applications of RFID technology citing recent field trials on the North Slope of Alaska. I will conclude by sharing my best guess of where RFID technology will go in the future of the oil and gas business.

Biosketch

David Brunnert has over 20 years of experience in the development and commercialization of innovative products for the oil and gas industry.
