The Southern Biomedical Engineering Conference draws heavily from institutions and organizations in the South, Southwest, and Southeast regions of the United States. However, from its inception, many from outside of the region and even other countries have actively participated. Please indicate the person to whom correspondence should be sent, if other than the first author, and include an address, telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address when submitting the abstract. The abstract should be one page with figures (if needed), 1” margin all around, 500 words. Include the title on the top with names and affiliations of the authors with the name of the presenting author underlined.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p><span lang=EN>The Conference Program Committee will select the abstracts for poster and podium presentation based on scientific merit and content quality. Abstract acceptance notices will be sent by e-mail by February 29, 2012. Freestanding 4 ft. x 8 ft. boards and pushpins will be provided for the poster session. Student abstract submissions will be eligible for student awards.<o:p></o:p></span></p><h3><span lang=EN>Evaluation<o:p></o:p></span></h3><p><span lang=EN>A course evaluation form will provide participants with the opportunity to comment on the value of the program content to their practice decisions, performance improvement activities, or possible impact on patient health status.
