We are aware that many of you will be submitting the week of 5/23 due to travel/vacations. <br><br>FOR THOSE OF YOU PLANNING TO SUBMIT A NIH RO1 IN JUNE, please let Gerri and/or Rudy know by <b>Tuesday, 5/17.</b> Additionally, Gerri and/or Rudy need to know about NIH R21 by June 7.<br>

</span></span><u>NIH has eliminated the 2-day error correction window extending after the deadline</u>. Some that did not submit R01s during the last call may not be aware of this. This means that those submitting on the deadline have no fall-back
for corrections. If instances occur such as something omitted from the science, administrative errors, transmission errors, errors on a subrecipient file, there is no chance to correct.

</span></span>NIH is moving to <u>new forms</u> for this submission deadline. This is something Gerri/Rudy can handle <span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">but will be difficult for last minute submissions.</span></p>

</span></span><u>R01s are the highest volume call for NIH</u>. R01s will be competing with all other federal sponsor closings through <a href="http://grants.gov" target="_blank">grants.gov</a> on the closing date. Volume will be high, transmissions slow, and postings to Commons on submission
results will not be immediate & may not appear for 1-2 days.</p>
