<p><b>CPRIT Funding Opportunities Update</b></p>

Funding Opportunity Released for Shared Instrumentation Awards</span></b>

<p style="margin-left: 0.5in;">CPRIT released a request for applications (RFA) for
<a href="http://state.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=9bc46acc55c4a42d93566d3a5&id=2a7d112ea4&e=71b18a039b" target="_blank">Shared Instrumentation awards</a>. The shared instrumentation
award will support the acquisition of major research instrumentation that
cannot be requested through other CPRIT programs and whose purchase can be
justified on a shared-use basis to support the goals of scientifically
meritorious cancer research projects. Applications will be accepted November 15
through December 7, 2010, with awards expected to be announced at the Oversight
Committee meeting in March, 2011.</p>

Opportunities for CPRIT Funding</span></b> </li>
</ul>
<p style="margin-left: 0.5in;">In addition to the continuously open company
recruitment/relocation and research recruitment award applications,
applications for the 2011 <a href="http://state.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=9bc46acc55c4a42d93566d3a5&id=31908fba12&e=71b18a039b" target="_blank">Multi-Investigator Research Award</a> will be accepted through
November 15, 2010. Investigators submitting a new MIRA application were
required to submit either a pre-application or letter of intent, depending upon
whether the application had been previously submitted. MIRA applications will
be accepted October 15, 2010 through November 15, 2010. Applications for all
awards are available on the <a href="http://state.us1.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=9bc46acc55c4a42d93566d3a5&id=6ae2a858e0&e=71b18a039b" target="_blank">CPRIT website</a>.</p>
