<P><FONT SIZE=2>For many years, the UH alumni association, with HEB, Coca Cola and some<BR>
other sponsors, have organized a school supply collection drive for children<BR>
who can't afford their own. Last year, the drive collected $150,000 worth<BR>
of supplies that were distributed to 132,000 students in 330 schools in 31<BR>
school districts.<BR>
<BR>
The University of Houston and the Cullen College of Engineering are proudly<BR>
participating in this year's campaign. We have placed three collection<BR>
boxes on each floor of Building 1 next to the east elevators. The idea is<BR>
to contribute with whatever you can and give these children (K to 12th<BR>
grade) what they need. Any school supply you can give will be welcome:<BR>
pencils, glue sticks, binders, backpacks, etc.<BR>

The drive has just started and will run through August 13.<BR>
