NOTE: This is a forwarded message. Please direct all questions about submitting a progress report to Melissa Pierson, mpierson at uh.edu<mailto:mpierson at uh.edu>. Thank you!

Greetings, Spring 2025 undergraduate instructors of record,

Next week we will begin our Progress Report Campaign outreach for the spring semester.

Progress Reports are early alerts that allow instructors to identify students who are at risk of failing a course so that advising and other support staff can provide assistance beyond what is already possible through the course.
A Progress Report Campaign request is an email sent from an advising office or administration to instructors to solicit feedback about specific at-risk groups students. You can also submit an ad hoc Progress Report for a student or group of students at any time there is a concern. (There are links after this email with directions for submitting Progress Reports.)

To streamline our outreach to you, all campus Progress Report Campaigns will only be sent during these two-week "sending bands":

  * Band #1: Requests will be sent the week of 2/17 and you have two weeks to submit feedback through 3/3
  * Band #2: Requests will be sent the week of 3/31 and you have two weeks to submit feedback through 4/14 (2 weeks before drop date)

This new coordinated structure means:

  * You may receive different requests for different groups of students who may all be in your same courses, but you will not receive multiple requests for the same students.
  * You will not receive any student feedback requests outside of these two scheduled bands - requests will no longer trickle in at various times.
  * You can wait to receive all requests and then go into your gradebook to submit all reports at once. I will notify you when all Progress Report Campaigns have been sent so you know it is safe to go in to submit your reports.
As always, thank you for your participation in assisting the success of our undergraduate students - your feedback about course progress is so important.
Melissa

o Do you have questions about submitting a Progress Report? Contact Melissa Pierson at mpierson at uh.edu<mailto:mpierson at uh.edu>
You are able to provide all feedback by clicking on the link within the email, with no need to log in to Navigate separately. A web page will display the courses you teach and the class roster for those courses. Note that the students displayed will likely just be a few of the students in that class as Progress Report Campaigns target specific at-risk groups. The emailed Progress Report format looks slightly different than the ad-hoc Progress Report, however the information options are identical, including Alert Reasons, absences, grades, and an open-text box to share any additional context.
Mark only those students about whom you have concerns; un-marked students can be submitted as not at-risk by clicking the "I'm all done" blue button at the bottom of the screen once finished.
